Yesterday was a terrible day! As I said before, we have construction going on and have a couple more weeks. I hate the construction guys being in my apartment everyday but it will be worth it in the end. They are no longer my friends, I hate them! Every night when they leave I go and plug in my bath and body works air freshener. The scent is lemonade. I just love the fresh smell especially after all those smelly men being around all day. They just don't leave my apartment smelling like roses. Well yesterday morning I forgot to unplug it before they came in. It was in an outlet they were working by so they took the liberty to unplug it themselves while I wasn't in the room anymore. They placed it on my table on its side on top of the puzzle I had just finished so all of the liquid ran out of it. It totally ruined that part of the puzzle and went through the puzzle and took off the finish and ruined my table. I later came out and saw what happened and I just started bawling. My poor table! My baby! We barely even eat on the thing because I don't want anything to happen to it until at least after we have kids and they ruin it. Why couldn't they have put it anywhere else but on the table!!?

I am over it now. I realized that it wasn't the end of the world and I will survive. When I showed Sam, he didn't even think it was that bad. Oh but it is bad. Everytime I have seen the construction guys today, I just curse at them under my breath. It is kind of cool how the spot is shaped as puzzle pieces. I am just trying to find a way to get over it. At least now we will probably eat at the table more that I am not scared of scratching it anymore. Well that was my drama for the week.

On a happier note, yesterday was Groundhog's Day. We loved the cupcakes I made last year so I made them again and we celebrated by watching Groundhog's Day. We just love that movie and this is the perfect excuse to watch it every year.

Sam laughing at the movie, you guys are so clever. Ha ha! Ok I would complain to the construction guys! They ruined your puzzle and your table. They should probably think about where they're setting something hot.
I love that pic of Sam laughing at the movie! Sorry about your table! That IS annoying. Maybe you could buy a decoration that sits on that spot OR try a brown marker or stain and see if it makes it less noticeable. When we moved our coffee table got white paint dings all over it from a painted basket and we used markers to cover it up. Not perfect, but it worked pretty well! :) Your cupcakes look fantastic!!!
glad to see you back in blog land, I was really counting on you. Maybe I could see you in real life. Maybe next weekend? (James is sick)
Stupid construction dudes!! Make them pay for it! Or just chew 'em out really good. I used to just take that kind of stuff, but, now that I have 3 kids, and I'm worn pretty thin, I just let people have it. It doesn't always help, but, sometimes it makes me feel better.
what's groundhog's day without needle nose ned!! love that movie!! your cupcakes were so cute it makes me wish that i would have done something clever for the day!!
I love how you labeled this post under drama. It is drama...major drama. Your poor table. I'm sorry. I don't even have ideas how to fix it. So sad.
Your groundhogs are adorable. My kids are wondering why I didn't make any. Maybe next year!
Love those cupcakes. How did you make the little guys? Almond Joy was about all I could figure out.
I am so sad for you and your table. I think you should just make the same markings on a couple of different places and make it look like it cam that way. I still have to figure out what I am going to do with my couch. At least you will always have memories of Burlington when you look at your table and just think of it this way...one day it will probably be made into a game table in the basement and you already have puzzle pieces on it. Yeah!
