Sam and I have always wanted to celebrate Groundhog's Day but we just never do. This year I decided to surprise Sam with a celebration. Well it wasn't really a big thing. I saw these really cute cupcakes on
Tip Junkie and I just had to make them. I thought they turned out really cute, I almost don't want to ever eat them and just keep them on my table all year round. That would be a little gross. Well actually, we will not eat the groundhogs for sure because I got impatient with the frosting not drying and candy falling off that I just ended up super gluing everything on.

We are about to watch Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray. That movie just never gets old. It is one of our favorites. This will be a perfect little tradition every year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Groundhogs day even though we are all mad at Punxsutawney Phil for seeing his shadow. Hopefully it will be a mild 6 more weeks.

You are so creative Ginger! I love that you super glued the eyes and face on. I bet that's what the original recipe figured out they had to do also. It sounds like a really fun day! Great traditions.
LOVE THEM!!! Will you send one express mail to me?
Oh my gosh. You are so cute. I love that idea. How are things in Boston? We were saying the other night how much we miss you guys coming down and hanging out. One day right.
How fun, you are so cute! I visit your blog occasionally and every time I do, it makes me smile!

I saw this picture on Myfamily.com and just put in the comment, "What?!!" I didn't know what they were or that you had made them. You are very creative and I'm sure Sam loved them. Crystal and I had taped "Groundhog Day" and just barely watched it today (Jan. 3rd).. I love it!! I want to watch it at least once a year.
Paul got our computer working better and I've decided to get on it more and read Myfamily.com and you kids' blogs. I've really been touched and have laughed out loud lots from what I've read. Thanks for sharing.
Love,
Mom Stokes
